About me

I was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996.

I am based at Ropewalk Chambers in Nottingham and live in Nottinghamshire, but travel nationally through England and Wales, attending courts and visiting clients.

For nearly 20 years, since before the decision of the House of Lords in Dimond.v.Lovell I have been involved in advising upon and arguing credit hire claims. I undertake trials in the County Court, appeals in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal and also deal with the costs issues and costs assessments arising from credit hire claims.

I am recognised by Chambers and Partners as a Leading Junior.

  1. Dear Andrew,
My name is Sal Chaudhry and I am the MD at Pearl Assistance Ltd. We are a CHO with a particular niche in providing licensed minicabs and taxis on credit hire in London. I remember reading a blog of yours recently where you suggested you offer a service whereby you can review credit agreements for hire and storage and can offer advice on ensuring they are compliant in an ever-changing credit hire world. How much would a review/with advice cost for this service?
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards,
    Sal
